The students of class V were taken to an excursion to the Shell Museum, Pancha Rathas and Tiger caves in Mahabalipuram. The first place visited was the Sea shell museum. It also had the pearl museum and an aquarium. The resource person in the museum was well prepared to receive our students and gave detail and interesting information on the shells and pearls. It was an interactive session. The students thoroughly enjoyed the museum. The students visited the Pancharathas in Mahabalipuram and were excited to see the monolithic structures. They also enjoyed their lunch in the backdrop of the Rathas. The last place visited was the Tiger caves. They enjoyed playing there and posing for photographs under the huge rock. The excursion was informative as well as enjoyable for the students.
